Dog File Format
Spaces are optional in all column names, and every column name is case insensitive.
You may have additional columns not used by the importer, and they will be ignored.
- "AKC Number". alt names: "reg number", "registration number"
- "Dog name". alt name: "Dog Name (Full Titled)".
- this contains the registered name including prefix and suffix titles
- "Birth Date". must be in format MM/dd/yyyy OR yyyy/MM/dd.
- yyyy is the 4 digit year.
- MM is the 2 digit month,
- dd is the 2 digit day of month.
- "Breed". Can be any AKC recognized breed.
- "Sex". alt name: "Gender"
AKC downloaded files as shown in this video already meet the format.
Litter File Format

- "Litter". The assigned litter registration number. (the prefix of all puppy reg #'s)
- "Breed". Can be any AKC recognized breed.
- "Birth Date". must be in format MM/dd/yyyy OR yyyy/MM/dd.
- yyyy is the 4 digit year.
- MM is the 2 digit month,
- dd is the 2 digit day of month.
- "Dam". alt name: "bitch"
- "Sire". alt name: "dog"
AKC downloaded files as shown in this video already meet the format.
